Paul Moss

After spending some time in college, Paul decided to enlist in the United States Marine Corps as an Infantry Marine where he did combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. During his second enlistment he became Combat Instructor for the Battle Skills Training School at Camp Lejeune, where he became lead instructor. Despite his successes, the toll of injuries and trauma from deployments became evident, prompting Paul to seek help from the Wounded Warrior Battalion. Unfortunately, this marked the end of his military career. Returning home to the Cincinnati, Ohio area with Katie, they encountered a gap in support for the unique challenges returning military members and veterans face within local churches. Paul spent time working in the law enforcement trying to fulfill the camaraderie and purpose the military gives, however, it was through rooting his identity in Christ that he found ultimate healing.  He went on to work in the construction industry and became a business owner. Recognizing God was calling him to help reach warrior families, Paul became involved with the Centurion Project in 2022. Currently pursuing a Psychology Degree with an emphasis on Military Resiliency and Trauma, he is dedicated to leveraging his experiences to help our nation’s warriors and their families grappling with military trauma find hope and healing through Christ.

Katie Moss

Katie is a graduate of The Christ Hospital School of Nursing and Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Since 2007, her professional experience as a registered nurse includes Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, Intensive Care Unit, and Vascular Access Team setting. During the Covid pandemic, she took on a new challenge as a School Nurse for a private Christian school. Married to Paul since 2007, Katie became a military spouse, gaining firsthand insight into the challenges posed by multiple combat deployments and the resulting medical and mental health issues. This personal experience has fueled her dedication to studying and researching the field of ministry. In 2022, Paul and Katie got involved with the Centurion Project which revealed how God could use each of these pieces to launch their family into a ministry to help other warrior families find hope and healing from military trauma.
